The story goes that Astara was founded by two women at the suggestion of their guru. I tried Astara products in 1998 when they first came out. Antioxidant technology was just coming on the scene and Astara was one of the first products available with antioxidants and microclusters. I was impressed with their entire line: from face washes to their famous blue flame mask.
Astara products are available in high end salons, at select Sephora stores and online at the Astara website.
I'm intrigued by their Activated Antioxidant Infusion - which has extract from an orchid known for "Eternal Youth" in the Andean Mountains!

Ghosts have been documented in a Mt Pleasant, Pennsylvania Restaurant and Inn - the The R n R Station.
It all started about 13 years ago, just after she and her husband Ray Wingrove bought it, Sherry Wingrove said.
"Things would disappear and then reappear later, you heard footsteps when no one was there, and you could hear children bouncing a ball upstairs, and pots and pans would fly off the racks," she said.

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."
- Frank Herbert as character Paul Atreides in the movie

This is a series on obscure words. First up on the list: Palsifficationaliztionen, which is apparently the possession of a cloud by a spirit. And here I thought I was just looking at cloud animals. What's the strangest thing you've seen in the sky? For me it was a tiger jumping over a boat on Venice Beach.

Did you know that when someone passed away, it was a standard practice to send a child out to the bee hives and tell the bees of the passing?
According to folklore belief, bees had the ability to take messages from people who were living to those already in the spirit world. The telling of the bees was a way to prepare the way for the newly deceased.
The Museum of Jurassic Technology in Culver City, California currently has an exhibit that displays and explains this and other beliefs.
What do you think? Folklore superstition or actual practice?

Did you see the movie What the Bleep? In this movie I was introduced to Dr. Masuru Emoto's photographs of water crystals. Dr. Emoto photographed water that had been infused with specific emotions and then frozen. The resulting photographs are striking. Water that had been exposed to Mozart froze dramatically different from water exposed to heavy metal music. The photograph to the right is one of Dr. Emoto's that was exposed to the phrase "love and gratitude".
What do you think? Do you think water takes on the feelings of its surroundings? Considering that human beings are mostly made up of water, how could this belief change your life?

Hi, I'm Daily Mantra. I'm a new blog. On me you will find articles and links to articles on metaphysical and new age topics. Things like astrology, macrobiotics and the rolling yogi. I'll tell you about which celebrities practice which types of yoga and which bottled water is actually better. I'll find fun gifts and review products such as Petri Murien's Tonic Gold. That way you don't have to spend your time and money trying to find the real answers.

Apparently there is a psychic sitting in on the Gotti trial reading the aura's of the jurors.
